RSVP Volunteer Benefits

Grandfather & Child Gardening

The best way to find yourself, is to lose     yourself in the service of others."

You Gain A Sense that You Are
Impacting Your Community

As a volunteer you will:
  • Receive assistance in finding the ideal spot for you to serve.
  • Share your knowledge, wisdom and experience with others.
  • Enjoy the pleasures that come with helping those in need.
  • Remain an active member in the community.
  • Meet new people, develop new skills, and discover new experiences.
  • Besides experiencing the genuine joys of volunteer work, additional benefits are available through RSVP as well.

    Supplemental Insurance Coverage

Each active RSVP volunteer is eligible for three kinds of supplemental insurance. These policies provide coverage for you while you are volunteering.
  • Accident insurance, for personal injury arising from an accident while you are traveling to, from or while participating in a volunteer assignment.
  • Personal liability, in excess of any other valid and collectible insurance you may have.
  • Excess automobile liability, which supplements the volunteer's insurance coverage for bodily injury or property damage.

  • SENIOR NEWS

All RSVP volunteers will receive YCCOA's Senior News, a free monthly publication. The Senior News contains pertinent information about RSVP and issues important to older active adults.

    Special Events

Periodic events provide a fun opportunity for active RSVs to socialize, relax, and be pampered!

    Spring Appreciation/Awards Event

    Freedom Corps Logo

Each year, RSVP hosts a Spring Appreciation/Awards Event to honor volunteers and recognize their contributions to the community. The event is free and open to all active RSVP members. The President's Volunteer Service Award is presented to eligible volunteers at this event and RSVs have an opportunity for a fun event with co-volunteers.
