Senior Dinner Program

The Senior Dinner Program offers a delicious balanced meal at nine sites throughout Yellowstone County. There are no age, income or resident restrictions. Meals are offered at noon on regularly scheduled days, except major holidays. In addition to a nutritious noon meal, the Senior Dinner Program offers education, entertainment and companionship.

The recommended donation for a meal is $3.00 for individuals 60 and over and their spouses, unless otherwise stated. No eligible participant is denied a meal if unable to donate. Guests under the age of 60 are welcome for lunch at the full charge of $5.45 unless otherwise stated.

Lunch reservations must be made at least by noon the business day proceeding the day of your reservation.

  Seniors meet for a potluck lunch the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month except for June, July and August when they only meet on the 4th Friday. The main entree is provided. Everyone attending brings a food item to share. Reservations are not needed. Activities, speakers and other events occur during the month. Blood pressure and blood oxygen checks are scheduled for the 2nd Friday except during the summer when they are scheduled on the 4th Friday. Card playing often takes place after the other activities.

Lunch, which is prepared by the Boardwalk Cafe, is offered every Friday. On the fifth Friday, everyone goes out to eat at a restaurant. Click here for menu. Friday's lunch at the Worden Senior Center is the same as Friday's Meals on Wheels lunch.

The recommended meal donation is $2.50 for individuals 60 and older; $3.50 for individuals under 60. To make a reservation, contact the Meal Site Coordinator at (406) 698.6037 before noon on the preceding Thursday. Activities, speakers and other events occur during the month, including birthday celebrations.

The Shepherd seniors meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. The recommended donation is $3.00 for individuals 60 and over and their spouses. One menu choice will be available.
